RAJNIKANTH TO SIGN A 240 CRORE PROJECT ???????
One of the reasons behind the success of 'Enthiran' was the presence
of Hansraj Saxena in the team. His efforts earned Sun Pictures a
whooping profit from all over India. Now, the veteran is planning on
taking things under his own banner Sax Pictures and is trying to rope in
Superstar Rajinikanth for a Rs 240 crore project.
It has also been reported that Ram Charan Teja, one of Tollywood's rising stars will be a part of the film that will release in multiple languages across the world.
Sax Pictures' first film, 'Charulatha' hit the screens recently and has performed in a mediocre fashion. Hansraj Saxena, however, didn't comment on the project and stated that it was too early to say anything about the project.
It has also been reported that Ram Charan Teja, one of Tollywood's rising stars will be a part of the film that will release in multiple languages across the world.

The forthcoming Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiyaan (a 3D film) is
to be dubbed in three foreign languages — Japanese, Italian and Spanish,
besides English. It is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Betting big on the movie’s export potential, the producer of the film,
Media One Global Entertainment Ltd, approached Exim Bank for funding,
and landed a Rs 20-crore loan from the bank. According to J. Murali
Manohar, Director, Media One Global, the film’s post-production costs
are very high as this stage involves several domestic and foreign
technicians and the use of facilities in the US, London and Hong Kong.
The forthcoming Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiyaan (a 3D film) is

Now the film, scheduled for release in mid-January 2013, is in the
post-production stage. The rupee-dollar volatility has made the
production cost of the film unpredictable. “But I can say it will
comfortably surpass Rs 125 crore,” he said. The company is in talks with
a couple of other banks for another Rs 30-crore loan to complete
post-production works. Elaborating on the movie’s export potential,
Manohar said the company may strike a Rs 25-crore deal for export of its
Tamil version alone. Factoring in its Spanish, Italian, Japanese and
English versions, the overall business size would far exceed that of Enthiran, he said. Rajinikanth’s earlier film Enthiran (Robot) is said to have grossed a little over Rs 200 crore. “We expect Kochadaiyaan to set new standards in the Indian film industry,” says Manohar.
The rights for the movie’s music (scored by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman) were sold for close to Rs 7.5 crore to Sony Music (Enthiran’s music rights were sold for Rs 7 crore). The star cast of Kochadaiyaan,
directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin, includes
Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Shobana and Nassar. Rajiv
Menon is the cinematographer.
T.C.A. Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director of Exim Bank, said
the bank usually considers a movie’s export potential and the production
house’s track record before granting a loan. In the case of Kochadaiyaan
too, the bank is convinced of its export potential. As per the
agreement, the borrower has to pay back the money before the release of
the film.
Overall, Exim Bank has a close to Rs 400-crore exposure to the film industry, and “the NPA is nil”, said Ranganathan.
IS RAJNI NEXT WITH A. R. MURUGADOSS ??
At the audio launch function of
Thuppakki, producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu revealed about the meeting that he
had with Superstar Rajinikanth a few days back. In this meeting which
lasted for about 40 minutes, the producer had told Rajini about how
Vijay was a very comfortable star to work with. Vijay had even helped
the producer financially on certain occasions during the shooting.
During this meeting Thanu had also talked about A.R.Murugadoss to the Superstar, in depth. Some months back there were lots of rumors about Rajini doing a film in Murugadoss' direction. Now with Thanu also having met Rajini and discussed about the director, can we expect a project along these lines? Would they have discussed about a possible project ?
It would surely be a grand treat from this deadly combination. With Thanu known for his grand productions, this Rajini - Murugadoss project would have the perfect producer. Official statements in this regard would be awaited with bated breath.

RAJNIKANTH TO DONATE RUPEES 10 CRORE

It’s a common knowledge that Rajinikanth is an ardent devotee of Sri Raghavandra and said to have contributed to various activities of the temple in the past.
The undisputed box-office king of Kollywood even chose to act as Saint Raghavendra in his milestone 100th movie titled Sri Raghavendra which he openly admits that the film is very close to his heart.
The reports suggested that the Endhiran star would donate 10 crores of rupees and with that whopping amount the temple authorities have decided to construct 100 rooms for the devotees to stay at nominal rates and the existing building behind the Sarvayagna Mandap will be renovated and 25 new A/C cottages will be built. Besides, flower gardens will be set up around the temple.
When the Sri Raghavendra Temple manager was contacted by DC, he did admit that they have approached Rajinikanth, but ruled out the figure quoted in media reports.
“Our Apta Karyadarshi to Sri Swamiji Shri Suyameendracharya has approached Mrs Latha Rajinikanth and initiated the talks. We have three projects which need to be taken care of immediately.
We are yet to meet Mr Rajinikanth. And we have not mentioned any figure (amount) to Rajini sir. Whatever he wishes to donate is acceptable with utmost content. We would make it official once Rajini sir gives the donation.”
